Two Atchison Redmen soccer players were selected for the 2016 Kansas High School Soccer Coaches Association All State Teams earlier this week.

Ben Horvatic received Second Team honors to conclude his impressive career at Atchison, scoring 13 goals this season with 9 of those coming during Kansas City-Atchison League play. In his four years, Horvatic finished with 34 total goals.

Hector (Enrique) Flores joined Horavtic as an All-State selection, being named an Honorable Mention Selection after an impressive junior season. This past season Flores stopped 199 shots, 137 in KCAL play, while recording a season-high 18 saves in one match.

The Redmen finished the season 1-15, which ended with a 3-1 loss to Bonner Springs in the opening round of regionals Oct. 24.
