The Twin Valley League had eight participates in the annual 8-Man All-Star football games in Beloit over the weekend and the eight seniors helped the Division I and II East teams earn a pair of wins. The East DII team needed Overtime but earned the 28-20 win, while the DI East team won 28-18.

After minimal scoring in the first half the West team led 14-8 at the half in the DII game, but the game picked up in the fourth quarter was back and forth with big plays by each team. Hanover Wildcat, Will Bruna tied the game at 14-14 with his second rushing touchdown of the day coming with 9:20 in the fourth quarter but the West team answered regaining the led at 20-14 with 1:29 left in the contest. That proved to be enough time for the East to visit the endzone again as Bruna ran for his third touchdown of the day tying the game at 20-20 and after the two-point conversion failed the game went to Overtime, marking the first time since 1986 the first 8-Man All-Star game that the contest would go into Overtime. In the Overtime the East scored on just the second play as Bruna ran for his fourth touchdown, while the West on their second play looking to answer fumbled the ball and Linn Bulldog, Kalen Richardson recovered to seal game 28-20 for the East.

Bruna helped led the East rushing for 61 yards on 33 carries with four touchdowns and passing for 140 yards on 11-22 with three interceptions. Two other Hanover Wildcats were involved in the contest as Adam Zarybnicky and Adam Fritschi were selected to the All-Star game for the East team. Frankfort Wildcat, Adam Kenworthy registered one carry for two yards, while his teammate Jedd Rose was also part of the contest. Richardson recovered a pair of fumbles in the contest.

A 20-point second quarter featuring three scores for the East gave them control of the game and helped guide the East to the win the DI All-Star game. The West held the early 6-0 advantage after the first quarter but a trio of scores in the second carried the East into halftime up 20-12. East extended the lead with another touchdown and safety in the third quarter and the West got their final score in the fourth but came up short as the East won 28-18.

Onaga Buffalo, Logan Marten and Clifton-Clyde Eagle, Justin Shutt both were on the winning East team in the DI game in Beloit for the annual 8-Man All-Star football games.
