Valley Gets Rolled as Benedictine Football Wins Opener

The Benedictine Ravens thrilled a near capacity crowd with a season-opening win over rival Missouri Valley 42-17 Saturday in Atchison.

On an afternoon when the Ravens comitted no turnovers, their defense forced 3 interceptions and one fumble.  BC running back Ejay Johnson had 200 yards rushing on 36 carries as the offense ended the game with 520 yards.  QB Shaefer Schuetz completed 16 of 27 passes for 309 yards and 4 TD's.

Another home game is coming up for Benedictine next Saturday as they host Evangel University at Wilcox Stadium at 1:00pm.  Pregame coverage on KAIR 93.7 begins with the PreGame show at 12:30.
