Washington County Hosts Hanover, Cliftton-Clyde & Linn For TVL Track Action

Four Twin Valley League teams competed against each other on Monday in track and field action as Washington County played host to Clifton-Clyde, Linn and Hanover. 

Hanover Wildcats racked up 15 first place finishes at the Washington County Quad. Pete Peters led the way winning the shot put (40'06.50), discus (119'11) and high jump (5'08). Also in the boys competition the Wildcats 4x800m relay (11:41.88) earned first place and Carter Bruna won the javelin (164'06). The lady Wildcats swept the relays winning the 4x100 (53.50), 4x400 (4:58.94) and 4x800 (12:41.60) meter relays, while Makenna Jueneman sprinted to first place in the 100 and 200 meter dash with times of 13.24 and 27.90. Also on the track Tianna Lohse won the 400 meter dash (1:06.94), Bailey Libby took first in the 300 meter hurdles (52.65) and Claire Zarybnicky won the 800 meter run (2:40.97). In the field events for the lady Wildcats, Macy Doebele won the long jump (16'06) and the triple jump (33'06).

Clifton-Clyde Eagles registered 13 first place finishes on the day between the boys and girls competitions. In the boys action Elias Girard leapt his way to first place in the long jump (18'04.75) and triple jump (37'06.75), while Christian Seifert swept the hurdles winning the 110 and 300 meter hurdles with times of 18.44 and 43.47. Also on the track the Eagles boys won the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays with times of 47.35 and 3:56.43, while Brant Douglas won the 100 meter dash (11.94), Tanner Thompson took first in the 400 meter dash (1:01.90) and Zach Sorell won the 800 meter run (2:39.95). The lady Eagles were led by Maycee Callihan won tossed her way to the gold in the shot put and discus behind tosses of 33'05 and 97'10. Jaysie Bowser won the pole vault (7'06) and Alyssa Brown took first in the 1600 meter run (6:34.07).

Linn had a quartet of first place finishers as Tanner Spence won the boys 200 meter (25.35) 
and Daniel York took first in the boys 1600 meter run (5:14.87). For the lady Bulldogs Brooke Beier won the javelin (102'01) and Shelby Ohlde placed first in the high jump (5'02).

The host Washington County saw Tyler Simmons (12:34.72) and Garrett Cudney won the  3200 meter run (12:34.72) and pole vault (10'06), respecitvely in the boys competition. While in the girls action Camryn Bokin won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.37.
