Just shy of two months remain in the high school basketball regular season and with teams through the first quarter of the season the Kansas State High School Activities Association has released sub-state assignments and postseason plans for the year.

The biggest change for this season comes in regard to the opening round of the state tournament which like volleyball will take place at a home site instead of the state venue.

The remaining four teams in each classification will then play at the state site while there will not be a third-place game this year.
