Holton Girls and Boys Win Big 7 Track Quad at Sabetha

Big 7 League Quad at Sabetha – Results

Area track teams continued their seasons Tuesday afternoon with the Big 7 League holding a pair of quads and at Sabetha the Holton Wildcats claimed the girls and boys team titles.

On the girl’s side the Lady Cats had five first place finishers as Amariah Allen won the 100-meter dash, Delaney New the 400-meter dash, Darcee Ashcraft the shot put, Saydee Tanking the javelin and the 4 by 100-meter relay team taking first.

Sabetha had the most first place finishes with six to take second let by Hattie Lukert who won the 800 and 1600-meter runs, while Mary Lukert captured the 100 and 300-meter hurdles. The Lady Jays also got a first-place finish from Olivia Saner who won the pole vault while the 4 by 800-meter relay also took home first.

Royal Valley added five more first place finishers led by Ivy Fink who won the high jump and discus, while Morgan Harvey won the long jump, Killie Johnson the 200-meter dash and Cheyenne Hittle the 3200-meter run.

The final first place finishes came from Jeff West who had Mellany Roenne win the triple jump while the 4 by 400-meter relay also took home a win.

On the boy’s side Holton took first behind nine first place finishes led by Kale Purcell who won the 110 and 300-meter hurdles along with the long jump, while Matthew Lierz won the shot put, Canon Karn the triple jump and javelin and the 4 by 400 and 800-meter relay teams also taking home wins.

The Sabetha Bluejays added five more wins including two by Noah Nonnast in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, while Kalvin Evans won the 3200-meter run, Jonathan Renyer the high jump and the 4 by 100-meter relay team.

Royal Valley rounded out the meet with a pair of first place finishers led by Oscar Ayala who won the discus along with Luke Boyden in the pole vault.
