The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association has released their all-star teams for this summer’s game and two area athletes have been selected to compete in the game.
On the girl’s side the lone selection comes from Sabetha as Melinna Schumann will be on blue squad in the game as one of just four selections from Class 3A.
The boy’s side has Holton’s Kale Purcell on the white squad out of Class 4A after he led the Cats to a state tournament berth this past season.
The all-star game is scheduled for June 19 at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina with the girl’s game set to tip at 4:45 p.m. and the boys at 6:30 p.m.
