Week four of the high school football season is coming up on Friday and district play begins for most teams around Kansas.

K-Preps have released their latest rankings for the week with not much change among area teams.

We'll start in 8M-II where Axtell remained #1 in the rankings this week after they beat then 8M-I #3 Clifton Clyde 58-12. This was K-Prep's Statewide Game of the Week as Axtell won their 16th straight game.

Clifton Clyde fell out of the top five after the loss to Axtell.

Troy and Centralia highlight Class 1A as the Trojans are ranked #4 this week while Centralia is in for the first time this season at #5. Both teams have been dominant through three weeks and the two meet on Friday night in Centralia in one of the best games in the State.

That game can be heard on KNZA 103.9 FM as it's our "Game of the Week".

Nemaha Central continues to dominate as well as they remain #2 in Class 2A this week after they beat down Perry Lecompton 46-13 to move to 3-0.

Thunder running back Cooper Hajek has rushed for over 600 yards through the first three games.

Holton stayed put at #4 in Class 3A this week after they moved to 2-1 with a 49-7 win over Hiawatha last Friday.

The Wildcats have outscored their last two opponents 84-21 since the week one loss to Nemaha Central.
