The Nemaha Central cross country teams had strong finishes to their home invitational on Thursday (9/22) at Spring Creek Golf Course.
The girls finished first while the boys took home second place behind St. Mary's Academy.
The Thunder girls had three of the top six finishes including the top two with Hailey Nordhus finishing first and Maddy Mosteller finishing second.
Kyndall Sextro finished in sixth place.
Centralia's Meleah Talley finished in fourth as the Panthers placed third behind Doniphan West.
Claire Cole of D-West was the top finisher for the Mustangs as she finished in fifth place.
Valley Falls finished in fourth, followed by Axtell and Jackson Heights.
Grady Buessing of Axtell won the boys event as the Eagles finished in third place as a team. The Thunder were led by Lane Mosteller and Bob Langill who finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Jackson Heights finished fifth followed by Onaga and Horton to round out the team scoring.
