The Sabetha Boys and Holton Girls Finish Third at Gerald Sadowski Tournament

The Sabetha boys and Holton girls wrestling teams both finished in third place this past weekend at the Gerald Sadowski Tournament in Holton. 

The Bluejays finished behind Mill Valley and Shawnee Heights while the Wildcats finished behind Spring Hill and Shawnee Heights. 

Sabetha was led by Joshua Grimm who won his weight class at 285 to improve to 23-6. The Bluejays also got second place finishes from Colin Menold at 138, Cole Hinton at 144, Josh Herrmann at 175, and Jacob Kuenzi at 190. 

Holton got first place finishes from Sadie Gross at 120, Raegan Watkins at 170, and Karoline Tannahill at 235. 

Other notable first place finishes for the boys include Keaton Rottinghaus of Nemaha Central at 106, Kyler Jackson of Holton at 132, and Jayden Fletcher of Holton at 165. 

Fletcher is one of the top ranked wrestlers at 165 and improves to 26-2 with the tourney win. 

Other notable first place finishes for the girls include Holly Thacher of Oskaloosa at 105, and Allison King of Oskaloosa at 155. Those two are defending State Champions and are currently ranked #1 at their respective weight classes.
