Boys: Team Navy wins high scoring Northeast Kansas All-Star game

It was a big second half for Team Navy as they beat Team Gold in the boys Northeast Kansas All-Star game on Sunday at Highland Community College 93-83. 

They went with the college rules for this game playing two 20-minute halves with the 30 second shot clock. 

The game was tied at 36 at halftime with both teams getting up and down the floor quickly with plenty of three's and buckets in transition. 

The pace of the game stayed the same in the second half but both teams were more efficient offensively. Team Navy would outscore Team Gold in the second half 57-47 to pull out the win. 

12 of 13 players scored for Team Navy with five players in double figures. Sabetha's Davis Rokey led the charge with 15 while Riverside's Todrick Duncan and Atchison's Jesse Greenly each added 14. 

Keller Hurla of St. Marys finished with 13 and Jack Lauer of Marysville added 10. 

12 of 13 players scored for Team Gold with four players in double figures. Royal Valley's Preston Ross led the way with 15 while Sabetha's Matt Garber added 14. 

Tyson Snyder of Holton finished with 12 and Jaylyn Pleasant of Blue Valley chipped in with 10.

Team Navy members included Ashton Rockey, Isaac Detweiler, Reagan Hartman, Raef Bowen, Keller Hurla, Jacob Carls, Davis Rokey, Jack Lauer, Wade Leonard, Zac Fisher, Blake Fowler, Todrick Duncan and Jesse Greenly. 

Team Gold members included Jaylyn Pleasant, Troy Heiman, Matt Garber, Trenton Kimmi, Ryan Stevens, Tyson Snyder, Kamryn Kaniper, Parrish Beagle, Rhett Williams, Jude Williams, Aidan Webb, Preston Ross and Trenton Talley.
