Regional Golf Results

Regional golf tournaments were played across the state this week with area teams competing at multiple sites. Sites with local teams included 4A at Clay Center, 3A in Seneca, 2A at Maur Hill-Mount Academy, and 1A at Washington County. 

Top three teams qualify for state with the top five individuals from outside the top three teams also qualifying for state. 

1A at Washington County: Top three teams were Washington County, Centralia, and Onaga. 

2A at Maur Hill-Mount Academy: Top three teams were Sacred Heart, Cair Paravel, and Maur Hill-Mount Academy. Jayden DeWalt of Valley Heights and Kaden Smith and Chandler Newman from Horton qualified for state. 

3A at Nemaha Central: Top two teams were Sabetha and Hayden. Other state qualifiers included Mason Rader and Eli Sedlaeck of Marysville and Gage Moser of Jefferson West. 

4A at Clay Center: Top three teams were Wamego, Clay Center, and Concordia. Holton's Korben Fox qualified for state with a score of 73. 

State golf tournaments will be held May 20-21 with 4A in McPherson, 3A in Emporia, 2A at Dodge City, and 1A at Hesston.
