Sabetha golfer Roman Scoby has earned Second Team honors in Class 3A from the Kansas Golf Coaches Association for the 2024 season.
Scoby is joined on the Second Team by Kyle Eggers of Neodesha, Landon Langston of Wichita Collegiate, Kory Meireis of Kingman, Lucas Prado of Heritage Christian, and Palmer Welsh of Hesston.
KGCA All-State honors are based off season-long scoring averages for players whose coaches are members of the association.
Scoby helped Sabetha earn a 2nd place finish in Class 3A at the State Tournament last month as they were eight shots off State Champion Hesston. He tied for 18th place with a two-day score of 160 which included a 77 on day one.
Sabetha won the Regional Tournament at Nemaha Central with Scoby shooting a 1-over round of 72 which tied with teammate Cullen Wikle for First Place.
Other highlights for Scoby this season included a 13-shot win at Marysville with an even par round of 71, he shot 76 to win the home tournament at Sabetha Country Club, and he shot an 80 to finish top 10 at Holton to help the Bluejays win the Big 7 League title.
