On May 24th, the Onaga softball team completed their best single season in school history by placing third at the Class 2-1A State Tournament in Pratt.
The semifinal was drama filled, but the Buffaloes came up short of the title game losing to Dexter/Cedar Vale 5-4 in eight innings.
The Buffaloes would take care of Inman 10-3 in the consolation final to earn the third place finish.
It was the first trip to the state tournament in school history and it will go down as the best season in school history as they finished the season with a record of 21-5.
They also captured the Twin Valley League title during the run in the regular season.
