On May 25th, the Axtell boys and Washington County girls repeated as State Track and Field Champions in Class 1A.

Axtell got five first place finishes including two from Grady Buessing in the 800m and 3200m. Brandon Schmelzle won the long jump, Landon Schmitz won the 110m hurdles, and their 4x800m relay team took home the gold.

Washington County got four first place finishes including two from Addy Goeckel as she swept the 100m and 300m hurdle events.

Lillee Richard won the pole vault, and Jesse Hoover took home the gold medal in the javelin.
