Hanover over Frankfort 50-0

Last night the Frankfort Wildcats hosted the #3 team in 8M-ll, the Hanover Wildcats, in both a 8M-ll district 3 and TVL matchup. Hanover utterly dominated the contest 50-0, ending the game just a couples minutes into the fourth quarter.

Hanover sized up early 14-0 in the first quarter off an opening drive 65 yards down the field, capped off by a three-yard rushing touchdown from Kadrick Cohorst. Hanover would then force Frankfort to punt, Hanover awaiting no time to quickly score again on a one-play 63-yard touchdown pass from Cohorst to Hunter Kickhaefer.

Hanover would add two more scores in the first half to go into the locker room up 28-0, Frankfort put together one really solid drive in the first half off their first possession, trudging all the way to the Hanover seven-yard line, but unfortunately would be stone walled by the Hanover Wildcat’s Defense and be forced to turn it over on downs.

Frankfort would get the ball to start the second half, but unfortunately Frankfort had their first turnover of the game with a fumble, handing the ball right back to Hanover to make quick work.

Frankfort turned it over on downs three times last night, going one-of-four on fourth downs, while losing one fumble. It was also the first time for Frankfort being shut out since 2023 when they lost 46-0 to Axtell.

Kadrick Cohorst finished the night with well over 172 passing yards and 89 rushing yards, with three passing scores and one rushing touchdown. The Hanover defense came up with big plays, but more impressively had four total sacks on the day.

Wes Anderson ended the night with 104 passing yards, going 9-16, while rushing for another 25 yards. On the ground Frankfort was led by Henry Kettering with 44 yards rushing. Frankfort finished with 173 yards of offense while Hanover ended with 386.

The Hanover Wildcats improve to 4-0 overall, 3-0 in TVL play, and 1-0 in the district. Frankfort drops to 1-3 overall, 0-2 in the league, and 0-1 in the district. Hanover will head home to host Blue Valley Randolph next Friday, while Frankfort hits the road to take on Thunder Ridge.
