AHS Football Dominates Washington
By Tom Kautz

Atchison High used a 6-plus minute game-opening drive to set the tone in KC, KS Friday night as they handled KC Washington 33-20 in KCAL action.

Cole Batemon got the starting nod at quarterback for the Redmen and responded with a 3 touchdown performance on runs of 1, 4, and 11 yards. Taye Helms and Sercey Duncan, Jr. each added a rushing TD.  Before the half AHS had amassed a 21-0 lead and opened the door for Head Coach Jim Smith to utilize considerable depth from the bench.

Atchison is now 3-2, 3-1 and will return home this Friday to host KC Harmon at Amelia Earhart Stadium.
