Canann Mitchell

Rossville quarterback Canann Mitchell led the Dawgs to the regional championship this past week as they got by Jefferson County North in the 1A playoffs 53-18. 

Canann carried the ball 18 times for 137 yards and four touchdowns while completing 11-of-14 passes for 127 yards and another score. 

This season as a first-year starter, Canann has completed nearly 69% of his passes for 1,311 yards and 16 touchdowns and only one interception. He also leads the Dawgs in rushing with 821 yards and 15 more scores. 

Rossville head coach Derick Hammes: "Canann has stepped into his role of team leader as a first year starter. Not only is he leading but he is a key piece in our offense as he facilitates so much for his teammates. But when called upon he is capable of being a playmaker himself."
