Buessing Goes Over 1,000 Career Points in Win Over Clifton-Clyde
Quinn Buessing

What a career it has been for Axtell senior Quinn Buessing who has done pretty much everything you could imagine in his high school career in every sport he competes in.

He has made it to the state meet multiple times in cross country, led the Eagles to the state football championship game this past fall and Friday night went over the 1,000-point mark on the hardwood.

Buessing scored 26 points on Friday night in the Eagles 60-35 win over previously unbeaten Clifton-Clyde and on the season is now averaging over 15 points per game after scoring over 20 points in two of the last three games.

The win Friday night has the Eagles to an even .500 record on the year at 3-3 with two losses to 3A teams and one loss to a 2A school.

Buessing is finally healthy on the hardwood after last year dealing with nagging football injuries that sidelined him for most of the early portion of the schedule.

He still earned himself a second-team all-Twin Valley League selection last season and earned another first team nod his sophomore campaign.

Buessing and the Eagles will look to continue their current three game win streak this week as Axtell will have two road games at Onaga on Tuesday and at Blue Valley-Randolph on Friday.
