ACCHS' Myers Set to Continue Athletic Career at NWU
Trystin Myers

The 2020 high school spring sports season was cut short due to the COVID-19 outbreak and because of that we at the MSC Sports Radio Network have decided to salute area athletes that were expected to be the top returners in their respective sports.

For ACCHS senior Trystin Myers, he was expected to have a huge final season after breaking out at state track and field a year ago where he won a state title in the 110-meter hurdles while finishing second in the 300-meter hurdles.

He made it to state track and field in three events taking third at regionals in the triple jump, second in the 110-meter hurdles and first in the 300-meter hurdles.

It was the second straight year that Myers made it to the state meet after two years ago reaching state in the 300-meter hurdles where he fell just short of qualifying for the finals.

Myers has been a two-sport star in his time at ACCHS as he had a breakout year on the football year for the Tigers this past season as he finished with over 1,000 all-purpose yards and 13 total touchdowns.

Because of his breakout season and his effort on the track, Myers earned and signed to continue his athletic career at the next level where he will be attending Nebraska Wesleyan University next year both playing football and running track.
