Former Frankfort Wildcat, Chelsea Keating Helping K-State Volleyball Enjoy a Successful Season

The Kansas State Wildcats volleyball team recently picked up their first Big 12 conference win coming from behind to top TCU and improve to 13-3 on the season.

Helping in the solid start to the season has been red-shirt junior, Chelsea Keating the former Frankfort Wildcat who lead Frankfort to a Class 1A State title her senior year, which she was named Class 1A Player of the Year.

Keating has seen action in 35 sets this season playing in 13 of the Wildcats 15 matches on the year, while starting in five of those competitions. Earlier in the season Chelsea posted a new career high in kills in a match, 11, propelling the Wildcats to a win in the season opener of the Portland Pilots 3-2.

Chelsea has contributed on a solid basis' throughout the season as she's posted 54 kills on the year good for a 1.54 kill per set average. She's added 34 digs on the season and 11 blocks, too in her 35 sets played for the Wildcats on the season.

Kansas State started the season off 13-1 in non-conference play and have started Big 12 play 1-2. The Wildcats and Franfort native, Keating look to continue their recently success in the win over TCU in their next match when they are at Iowa State on Wednesday (October 9th).
