(KLZA)-- Three members of the Class D2 State Champion Sacred Heart Girls basketball team have received All-State honors from the Omaha World Herald and Lincoln Journal Star. 

Senior Abby Magdanz and junior Maggie Goltz were each named first team All-State in D2. Senior Elizabeth Magdanz was named second team All-State.

The Irish boys were also represented with senior Austin Malone named first team All-State by both newspapers.  

Other area athletes earning All-State honors were Isaac Frerichs a senior at Freeman named Class C2 All-State in both papers.  

Noah Vasa of Lourdes Central Catholic was second team All-State in D1. 

Derek Luzum was named first team and Kyle Jensen second team All-State in D2 for State Champion Exeter-Milligan.  Henry Tanksley a sophomore from Parkview Christian was second team All-State in D2. 

Raleigh Menke, freshman from Friend was second team All-State in the Journal-Star in D1. Carley Remmers a senior at Freeman was named second team All-State.
