On the season, Jeff West Lady Tiger Faith Becker has averaged 11.5 points per game.

On Friday night, Becker scored 11 in the first half as the Lady Tigers from Meriden took down the ACCHS Lady Tigers 48-18 in Effingham.

Both teams started slow with Jeff West leading 12-7 after the first quarter, but a 14-5 second allowed the Lady Tigers to extend their lead to 26-12 at the break.

Jeff West came out in the second half and held ACCHS to just six points the rest of the way to secure the 30 point win.

Becker finished with 12 points to lead Jeff West (3-2) in the win. Mallory Eckert led ACCHS (0-5) with 12 points of her own.

After a slow start to the season, the Jeff West Tigers entered the win column for the first time Tuesday night with a 39-33 win over Perry Lecompton.

On Friday night, the Tigers picked up right where they left off as senior Chord Livingston poured in 19 points, while fellow senior Hunter Overstreet added 17 in a 66-33 win over ACCHS.

Jeff West (2-3) dominated from the start taking a 10-3 lead after the first quarter and 35-15 advantage at the half. ACCHS (0-5) tried to creep back into the ballgame in third quarter, but a 20 point frame by Jeff West allowed them to take control.

Livingston scored his 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the free throw line, while Overstreet buried five treys.

Both teams take a break for the holidays and open play again on Jan. 5. ACCHS hosts Atchison, while Jeff West takes on Holton at home.
