Scotties Volleyball Team Snags Conference Road Win

The Highland volleyball team opened up Jayhawk conference play on Wednesday night and snagged a road win over Independence in three straight sets. Scotties battled Independence off to take set one 25-22, then won set two 25-17 and while the third set went to extra points the Scotties took the set 27-25 and picked up the win. The win puts Highland at 2-3 overall this season and 1-0 in conference play. Up next the Scotties host their Scottie Tournament starting on Friday when they take on Ellsworth Community College at 1:00pm and play Barton Community College at 5:00pm and the tournament wraps up on Saturday with two more matches for the Scotties. 

Highland Quarterback Earns KJCCC Offensive Player of the Week

The Highland Scotties football team hosted 8th ranked, Dodge City last Saturday and earned the upset win 26-16 to start the season off with a win. Sophomore quarterback, Kahlil Render led the way offensively posting 249 total yards and four total touchdowns (3 passing, 1 rushing). Render's performance earned him the KJCCC Player of the Week for Offense.
