The Atchison Redmen continued to win KCAL titles again this year as the football team and volleyball teams have already won League titles and the boys and girls cross country teams added two more on Thursday as they hosted the KCAL meet. 

The lady Redmen won over Sumner Academy the only other KCAL school fielding a full girls team, while the Atchison boys posted 37 points to win by five points over Wyandotte. 

Atchison boys saw the top individual performance go their way to as Matthew Sowers posted a time of 17:45.18 to win the KCAL individual League crown and lead the Redmen on the day. Austin Piper, Brennan Wheatley and Chris Filley earned seventh, eighth and ninth place finishes for Atchison behind times of 18:41.8, 18:43.23 and 19:02.54. Jayden Watkins, Dakota Harris and Tim Lowe all placed in the Top 20 earning finishes of 12th, 16th and 19th. 

The Atchison ladies were led by Emily Jaloma who raced to a time of 20:51.84 to place second. While third through sixth also belonged to Atchison as Hailey Macierowski (21:38.24) took third, Teagan Hanson (21:45.15) place fourth, Adalynn Collins (22:14.05) finished fifth and Lyndi Hanson (22:23.81) placed sixth. Emily Tull also was in action for Atchison placing 15th.
