ACCHS Tigers and Atchison Redmen grapplers hit the mats at the Paola Tournament in the most recent action in the wrestling season and put forth solid performances against some tough competition. 

The ACCHS Tigers were led by a quartet of fifth place finishes at the Paola Tournament. Brody Page (113lbs), Colton Scholz (120lbs), Ivan Smith (170lbs) and Ryan Hanshaw (220lbs) all earned fifth place for the Tigers. Page went 2-2 in action earning a pair of pinfall wins in 2:33 and 14 seconds, while Scholz also went 2-2 grabbing two pinfall wins in 1:37 and 2:35. Smith posted a 2-2 record recording two pinfall wins in 2:20 and 2:10, while Hanshaw notched a 2-2 record with a pair of pinfall wins in 26 seconds and 2:31. 

Multiple Atchison grapplers were in action on the day at the Paola Tournament. Nick Funk posted a 2-2 day at 285lbs to earn fifth place picking up a pair of pinfall wins in 51 seconds and 2:25, while Brent Clary went 2-1 in action to place seventh at 285lbs. Caleb Price (220lbs) and Joseph Bouck (152lbs) each went 1-3 in action to place sixth on the day each with pinfall wins in 2:18 and 28 seconds, respectively. Cayden Dotson (106lbs), Ethan Snodgrass (126lbs), Jeff Scott (132lbs) and Austin Detimore (182lbs) were all also in action for Atchison. 

ACCHS continues their wrestling season on Thursday, January 25th when they host a home double dual, while Atchison will continue their season on Thursday also at the Jeff West double dual.
