State Softball Qualifiers

Listed below are area teams that have qualified for the state softball tournaments. 

2-1A in Pratt: Onaga Buffaloes 

Regional Tournament - W 15-0 vs. Blue Valley-Randolph, W 8-2 vs. Doniphan West, W 12-2 vs. Valley Heights. 

Onaga returns to the state tournament for a second straight season. Last year they won 21 games and finished in third place for their best finish in school history. 

The Buffaloes will enter the 2025 state tournament with an overall record of 21-7. 

2-1A in Pratt: Oskaloosa Bears 

Regional Tournament - W 10-0 vs. Jefferson County North, W 5-0 vs. Mission Valley, W 4-1 vs. Rossville. 

The Bears have won five straight and 16 of their last 17 games and will enter the state tournament with a record of 22-5. 

The only losses for Oski this season have come against McLouth (x2), Doniphan West, Jackson Heights, and Wellsville. 

3A in Topeka: Jefferson West Tigers

Regional Tournament - W 4-3 vs. Royal Valley, W 14-7 vs. Perry-Lecompton, W 6-3 vs. Santa Fe Trail.

Tigers head coach Maddy Barger was a senior for Jefferson West 10 years ago when they captured the state championship. 

The Tigers have won six of their last seven games entering the state tournament and they will take an overall record of 22-5 to Topeka. 

3A in Topeka: Riverside Cyclones

Regional Tournament - W 16-1 vs. ACCHS, W 5-4 vs. Marysville, W 10-4 vs. Nemaha Central. 

The Cyclones were the 1-seed entering the tournament and won in three different fashions to advance to state. 

They have put together one of their best seasons in school history as the record sits at 21-4 which included a 14-4 mark in NEKL play as they made the jump over this season from the Big 7. 

The Cyclones have won seven straight and 15 of their last 17 games.
