Layla Kunhert

Layla Kunhert of Doniphan West got her wrestling season started off right with a tournament win this past weekend at Highland Park.

Layla defeated Sophia Torrez of Hayden by first round pin in the title match, and she also defeated Andrea Munoz of Hayden in the semifinals by first round pin.

Layla is the #3 ranked wrestler at 190 according to the KWCA and placed third at state last season going 4-1 in the tournament and finishing that season 28-4.
