The Nemaha Central track and field team continued to post strong numbers last week as they swept first place finishes at Perry Lecompton.
Senior Dylan Lortscher won three events at Perry which were the 110-meter hurdles, long jump, and high jump. He also tallied a third-place finish in the 400 meters.
His number of 6’3 in the high jump set a new school record at Nemaha Central. He was tied with Abe Elder and Dalton Schmelzle at 6’2 prior to breaking the record.
His long jump last week was a personal best and his win in the 110-meter hurdles was a season best.
Dylan also swept the 110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, high jump, and long jump during the Nemaha Central quad earlier this month.
Dylan finished second at 3A State last season in the high jump.
