Tyeera Heyward

The Atchison track and field team will have representation from Tyeera Heyward this week at the State Meet in Wichita.

Tyeera won the regional title in the 300-meter hurdles with a new personal record. She set a new school record by finishing second in the 100-meter hurdles and finished third place in the high jump.

“We’re excited to see her perform at the level she belongs at the State Meet,” says head coach Peyton Hajok.

Hajok adds that she is easily one of the most competitive athletes on the team and she takes full advantage of every rep.

The State Track Meet will be held in Wichita on Friday and Saturday at Cessna Stadium.
