Peru State Baseball Team Defeats Wesleyan

The Peru State Bobcat baseball team earned their seventh straight win in a row by topping the visiting Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) Prairie Wolves on Tuesday 5-4 in non-conference action.

With the win, Peru State improved to 20-15 on the year while NWU fell below .500 at 12-13.

Peru State was scheduled to travel to Crete to face the Doane College Tigers on Thursday, but it has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

This weekend, Peru State has a four-game series with the visiting Baker University Wildcats.  Game time on both Saturday and Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m. for this important Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) action.

Then, on Tuesday, the 'Cats head to Ottawa, Kan., to play a final non-conference double header with the Ottawa University Braves beginning at 1 p.m.

 

The final regularly scheduled double header is against HAAC opponent Missouri Valley College.  Peru State will host the Vikings for two games on Saturday, April 27, beginning at 1 p.m.
