Silver Lake Superintendent, Brad Womack, on the new Silver Lake Channel. “We are beyond excited to team up with the MSC Radio Group and launch the inaugural Silver Lake Channel—our own broadcast dedicated to celebrating the City of Champions! With 70+ Academic and Athletic State Titles proudly hanging in our gym, this new platform turbocharges our Eagle pride. Together, we're amplifying the Eagle spirit, tradition, and triumph that define Silver Lake—one championship moment at a time!”
Wade Gerstner, Owner/GM, of the MSC Radio group on the new channel. “I started the Beloit Trojan Channel 12 years ago and it absolutely took off. Silver Lake, much like Beloit, is a school with deep tradition and much success in many sports. Silver Lake deserves a video channel of their own and now that concept is going to become reality.”
Gerstner added, “Silver Lake students will be highly involved, ranging from running a camera, creating graphics, operating our scoreboard/laptop, etc. We want this to be a terrific learning experience for students and could lead to opportunities for them in the profession down the line."
Gerstner goes on to say “I'm confident this will be a huge deal for the Silver Lake community, the alumni, the fans, the students, and will become an even bigger deal as we move along with this process. We appreciate the sponsorship support we have received so far and hope others will see how much we put into the channel and jump on board as well!”
The MSC Radio Group has been video streaming live game broadcasts since 2013. The Silver Lake Channel is the 5th video channel the local company has established, joining the Hiawatha Channel, Holton Channel, Sabetha Channel, and the Cobra Channel (Jackson Heights).
