Sabetha Girls Tennis Wins Marysville Quad

It was a tennis quad at Marysville yesterday that feature three other Kanzaland area schools also. It was the Sabetha Bluejays and the Marysville Bulldogs highlighting the tournament action with two first place finishes each, but the Bluejays with a better all around day came away with the team crown with a team total of 26 points to Marysville's 21 points.

For the Bluejays it was first place finishes and 3-0 records on the day for Jennifer Stallbaumer in the singles number one competition and for Amy Wysong and Ellie Montgomery in the doubles number one competition. To go along with the two first places there were two second place finishes, also for the Bluejays. As Alison and Andrea Rogenkamp finished second in the doubles number two competition and Jenna Burger took second in the singles number two competition.

Marysville like Sabetha had two first place finishers coming in a singles and doubles competition also, as Madison Williams won the singles number two competition with a 3-0 record and Lauren Hawkinson and Kassie Breshears won the doubles number two competition going 3-0. The Bulldogs did have one second place finish also as Nina Baumgartner finished second in the singles number one competition.

The other second place finisher on the day went to Perry Lecompton's double team Megan Kassan and Dani Winchester in the doubles number one competition.
