With many area cross country meets going on in the area the Frankfort Wildcats traveled to Alma, Kansas yesterday to take part in the Jason McKinney Invitational.
It was one of the top runners in the Twin Valley League and the state, Wildcat, Adam Koch highlighting the meet for the Wildcats as he captured the individual crown in the boys competition with a time of 17:27.58 over 30 seconds better than the second place finisher. Koch beat out 48 other runners on the day in a meet that featured six schools (Silver Lake, St. Xavier, Mission Valley, Rock Creek and Wabaunsee).
Frankfort finished fourth as a team in the boys competition with three other runners in the top 20; Keith Huddleston placed twelfth, Sheldon Parthemer finished fifteenth and Alex Reoder placed eighteenth.
Sarah Huddleston was the highest place finisher for the Wildcat girls on the day, placing seventeenth.
