Three area teams and one other meet up on Saturday for action on the volleyball court as the Wetmore Cardinals, hosted Jackson Heights, Maur Hill-Mount Academy and Bishop Seabury.

At the end of the day it was the Maur Hill Ravens coming up with the best showing as the Ravens swept the competition going 3-0 with a pair of straight set wins and a three set win. Maur Hill took down Bishop Seabury and Jackson Heights both in straight sets winning 25-15, 25-22 and 25-11, 25-20, respectively. While the Ravens needed three sets to win the battle of the birds, beating Wetmore 23-25, 25-15, 25-19. With the 3-0 day the Ravens improved to 13-4 on the season.

For the Jackson Heights Cobras they struck for one win on the day going 1-3 in competition as the Cobras topped Wetmore in three sets winning 21-25, 25-21, 25-17. In the Cobras other two competitions on the day they fell to Maur Hill and Bishop Seabury both in straight sets. Jackson Heights fell to Bishop Seabury 12-25, 14-25. The lone Cobra win on the day was the just Jackson Heights second win of the season as they are 2-14 on the year.

The host Wetmore Cardinals fell in all three of their matches on the day falling in three sets to Maur Hill and Jackson Heights, while Bishop Seabury won in straight sets 25-23, 25-16 over the Cardinals. With the three losses the Cardinals fell to just 2-16 on the season.

All three teams turn their attention back to League action on Tuesday, October 1st when they get back to action this season.
