Southeast Nebraska Football and Volleyball Teams Ranked

A number of Southeast Nebraska area teams continue to be ranked in both football and volleyball in the Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald.

In football Falls City Sacred Heart has dropped from the top spot in Class D2 following a loss to Exeter-Milligan last week.  The Irish are ranked 5th in the Lincoln paper and 6th in the World Herald.

Exeter-Milligan is ranked on top by the Journal Star and second in the World Herald. Giltner is ranked 6th this week in D2.

In Class D1 ranked teams from the area are Friend at 5th and 7th and Bruning-Davenport-Shickley 6th and 8th. 

In Class C-1 Ashland-Greenwood is ranked 2nd and 3rd and the Syracuse Rockets are ranked 7th and 10th.  The Rockets host Falls City Friday night.  The Tigers are listed as contenders for the ratings.  In volleyball the Freeman Falcons are ranked 1st in both papers in Class C2 with their undefeated mark on the season.  Elmwood-Murdock is ranked 5th and 6th and Yutan is ranked 10th in the Lincoln Journal Star. 

In D2 Sacred Heart is ranked 6th and 9th, Johnson-Brock is ranked 6th and 9th also in the two papers.  Exeter-Milligan is ranked 7th in both polls.
