Sacred Heart will host Kenesaw in Class D2 football playoff action this afternoon at Jug Brown Stadium.

The Irish are ranked 5th in D2 at 8-2 on the year and Kenesaw is 9-1 and ranked 7th.  Both teams have lost to Exeter-Milligan this season.

Gametime is 4 p-m with pre-game coverage on SUNNY 101.3 to start at 3:30 p-m.

Blue Devils Head Coach Craig Schnitzler says his team needs to win the battle up front with his big offensive line.  He says due to possible windy conditions, special teams play will also be important.

Sacred Heart Coach Doug Goltz says it will be important to limit Kenesaw on first down plays, hopefully forcing the Blue Devils into some passing situationss, which is not something they have done much of this season.

The winner today will move on to the semi-finals next Monday against the winner of tonight’s matchup between Humphrey  St. Francis and Exeter-Milligan.
