Royal Valley Panthers hit the mats on Tuesday night and took on Topeka and Lawrence Free State in a double dual in Topeka. The Panthers finished the night with a pair of losses overall but made each bout close with a few Panther grapplers enjoying a 2-0 night in competition.

The Panthers lost a tight match against Topeka High won 42-38, as both teams had seven wins in the competition, while Royal Valley took a 45-30 loss on the mats against Lawrence Free State going 5-9 in that competition.

The trio of Noah Hart, Garrett Rodewald and Jacob Box all enjoyed a 2-0 evening for the Panthers at their weight classes of 145, 160 and 182lbs, respectively. While, Tewin Rush (106lbs), Zach Lux (132lbs), Jerry Coan (138lbs), Cedrick Williams (170lbs) and Blake Garrison (195lbs) all finished with a 1-1 record at the Dual in Topeka.

The Panthers continue the wrestling season this Saturday as they will wrestle in the Shawnee Mission Northwest Tournament.
