MUDECAS TOURNAMENT FINALS SET

The final two days of the MUDECAS Basketball Tournament in Beatrice at set.  In semi-final round action Thursday on KTNC the Falls City Sacred Heart girls advanced to the "A" Divisiion title game with a 39-25 win over Exeter-MIlligan in a matchup of top 10 teams in Class D2. Abby Magdanz and Maggie Goltz scored 12 each to lead the Irish.

Sacred Heart will take on top seed Freeman in the finals Friday night at 8:45 p-m in a game to be broadcast on SUNNY 101.3. The Falcons beat Sterling 44-29 Thrusday. 

In the "B" Divsion Championship at 7 p-m Johnson-Brock will take on Southern in a you can hear on SUNNY 101.3. The Eagles got 17 points from Kendra Alberts and 16 from Jessica Bohling in the semi-finals. 

Consolation round games Friday include: :"B" Division 3:30 Parkview Christian vs. Johnson County Central and at 5:15 Palmyra plays Lewiston.  At 3:30 in a game on SUNNY 101.3 Pawnee City and HTRS will meet for the third place trophy. 

In the "A" Division consolations at 7 p-m it will be Meridian aginst Bruning-Davenport-Shickley  followed by Lourdes Central Catholic against Diller-Odell at 8:45 p-m.

The third place game at 5:15 p-m has Exeter-Milligan against Sterling. 

In boys semi-finals Thursday in the "A" Division top seed Freeman squeezed by Johnson County Central 37-36.  Isaac Frerichs scored 20 points for the Falcons.  Ryan Teten led the T-Birds with 13 and Mitch FAris had 10.  Bruning-Davenport-Shickley defeated Lourdes Central Cathocli in the other semi-final 55-41.

In the "B" Division semi's Pawnee City beat HTRS 49-38.  Connor Freeman led Pawnee City with 12.  Chase Hain had 12 and Eli Herr 10 for HTRS.  Palmyra beat Diller-Odell 43-40. 

Saturday "A" Division consolations will have Falls City Sacred Heart against Parkview Christian at 11 a-m and Exeter-Milliagan taking on Southern at 12:45.  The "A" Division third place game at 4:15 will be on SUNNY 101.3 with Johnson County Central against Lourdes Central Catholic.  The Championship in teh "A" Division will have Freeman against Bruning-Davenport-Shickley at 7:45 p-m. 

In the "B" Division consolation matchiups Lewiston plays Sterling at 11 a-m and Johnson-Brock plays Meridian at 12:45 p-m. The HTRS Titans take on Diller-Odell for third place at 2:30 p-m in a game that will be heard live on SUNNY 101.3.  The "B" Division title game will be at 6 p-m live on SUNNY 101.3 feturing Pawnee City against Palmyra.
