(KLZA)-- The Falls City and Falls City Sacred Heart boys basketball teams have each earned #1 seeds for their upcoming Sub-District tournaments.
Falls City is the top seed in Class C1, Sub-District 1 and will open play Tuesday, February 24 against either #4 seed Auburn or #5 seed Conestoga. The Bulldogs and Cougars square off Monday night at 6 p-m to see who advances to the semi-finals against Falls City.
Johnson County Central is the #2 seed and Syracuse is the #3 seed. The tournament will be played at Freeman High School in Adams.
In Class D2, Sub-District 1, Sacred Heart will take on #4 seed Lewiston Tuesday night at 6 p-m at Auburn. Second seed Parkview Christian will go against #3 seed Johnson-Brock in the other semi-final Tuesday night at 7:45.
In Class C2, Sub-District 1 HTRS is the #4 seed and will play #5 seed Weeping Water Monday night at 7 p-m at Lourdes Central Catholic in Nebraska City. The Monday night winner advances to play top seed Freeman at 6 p-m Tuesday night. Palmyra is the #2 seed and goes against #3 seed Elmwood-Murdock on Tuesday night at 7:45.
In Class D1 Sub-District 1 action Monday at Southern High in Wymore, #4 seed Sterling Jets will take on #5 seed Friend at 7 p-m. The winner advance to the semi-finals against top seed Lourdes Central Catholic at 6 p-m Tuesday. Diller-Odell is the #2 seed and Pawnee City is the #3 seed. They match up at 7:45 p-m Tuesday night.
The Sub-District tournament winners will advance to District finals on March 2nd and 3rd.
