Nebraska Football, Volleyball & Basketball All-Star Games June 19th & 20th

(KLZA)-- It is All-Star Game time this weekend.  The Nebraska 8-Man Coaches Association All-Star Football Game will be played at the Hastings College Football Complex on Saturday with kickoff set for 1:30 p-m. 


Among the East Squad 8-Man All-Stars are Logan Scheitel and Sawyer Kean from Falls City Sacred Heart. Other area players that will participate are Simon Sandberg from Friend, Austin Vitosh from Diller-Odell and Kyle Jensen from Exeter-Milligan. 


The annual Southeast Nebraska All-Star volleyball and basketball games will be played Friday and Saturday at the Truman Center on the campus of Southeast Community College in Beatrice.


The volleyball game will be Friday night at 7:30 p-m. Saturday the girls basketball game will tip-off at 6 p-m followed by the boys game at 8 p-m.


The East Squad Volleyball players include; 

Shelby Hundley and Jenna Habegger from Pawnee City;  Brooklyn Westerburg from Johmson-Brock;  Kori Speckmann from Johnson County Central; Ashton Nanninga from HTRS;  Maygan Ramsey and Jerrica Beckner from Falls City High School;  Karley Kreifels and Katie O’Neil from Lourdes Central Catholic; Becky Williams from Sterling; Riley Dorn and Marissa Haynes from Freeman and Sydney Lintner from Syracuse. 

Jacqueiline Mohr from Syracuse will be the Head Coach assisted by Michelle Kreifels from Lourdes Central Catholic. 

The East Squad Girls Basketball team will include: 

Baylee Vrtiska from Falls City; Abby Magdanz and Elizabeth Magdanz from Sacred Heart;  Samantha Heng from Lourdes Central Catholic, Katie Meyer and Cassidy Mason from Freeman;  Amy VonFeldt from Nebraska City;  Kendra Alberts from Johnson-Brock; Hanna Carnagey from Johnson County Central and Josie Vitosh from Diller-Odell. 

Sacred Heart Coach Luke Santo will be the Head Coach, assisted by Clay Carlton from Lourdes Central Catholic. 

The East Squad Boys Basketball team members include:

Weston Witt, Jordy Stoller and Jack Hartman from Falls City High School;  

Austin Malone from Falls City Sacred Heart; Hayden Albers from Southern;  Marquis Buchanan and Riley Reynoldson from Palmyra; Isaac Frerichs from Freeman; Patrick Frary from Auburn;  and Noah Vasa from Lourdes Central Catholic.

Chris Hutt from Johnson County Central will serve as the Head Coach and Jim McLaughlin of Freeman will serve as the assistant coach.
