In a rematch of a 8-Man Division II Sub-State game from last year the Axtell Eagles made another long road trip south in the playoffs this year and took on Argonia-Attica and the game proved to be a one sided contest with Argonia-Attica earning the 52-0 win.

Axtell started the night with the ball first but just a few plays in the Eagles fumbled the ball on their own 14-yard line and a few plays later the Titans of Argonia-Attica found the endzone on a nine-yard run by Alec McDaniel and led 8-0. The Eagles continued to struggle in the first quarter unable to move the ball and giving the Titans short fields which the Titans capitalized on for two more touchdowns on two and five yard runs by Deovn Newberry making 22-0 after the first quarter.

Three more turnovers happened for the Eagles in the first half of action and the Titans continued to score with three more rushing touchdowns and a passing score making it 52-0 late in the first half. The Eagles started to mount a drive with short passes moving the ball down the field but on a second down play got back up with a sack and a fourth and goal from the 20 went for a score and the pass was picked off. After a kneel down the game would come to an end via point-rule as Axtell fell 52-0.

The balanced Axtell offense struggled to move the ball and the defense could not stop the Titans offense ending the Eagles season with a 10-2 record and for the second straight year the Eagles fell just short of the State title game, but finishing as one of the Top four teams in 8-Man DII for second straight year.
