Jefferson County North Boys and Girls Sweep McLouth In Dominating Fashion

Despite a slow start Tuesday night, the Jefferson County North girls forced 30 McLouth turnovers to blow by the Lady Bulldogs 62-21 in Winchester.

Neither team was able to find a rhythm offensively early, combining for 13 first quarter turnovers. Lady Charger sophomore Ravyn Jobbins finally got things going finishing the opening frame with eight points to give JCN a 17-9 lead after one and from there the rout was on.

The Lady Charger defense went on to allow just four combined points in the second and third quarters, while pouring in 30 points offensively in the same stretch to put the game out of reach.

JCN (6-7, 4-5) stays put in Winchester for a matchup with Horton (7-6, 5-4) Friday. McLouth (1-12, 0-9) heads home to host Immaculata (6-7, 3-6).

JCN: Annabelle Vaught – 20, Ravyn Jobbins – 12, Carley Elias – 9, Julie Schrick – 8, Ella Weishaar – 6, Jentry Seichepine – 5, Crystal Feldkamp – 2.

McLouth: Ceara Funk – 6, Dominique Tullis – 6, Madison Pope – 5, Haylee Weissenbach – 4.

From start to finish, the Jefferson County North boys dominated McLouth to the tune of a 71-21 win behind 24 points from senior Bryce Noll.

Noll got the Chargers (10-3, 7-2) off to a quick start scoring 16 points in the first half while senior Cole Bryant added eight, and JCN led the Bulldogs (0-12, 0-9) 39-10 at the break.

The Chargers extended their lead to 40 heading into the fourth behind eight third quarter points from senior Nick Funk, forcing a running clock the rest of the way.

JCN: Bryce Noll – 24, Nick Funk – 13, Cole Bryant – 8, Braden Schneider – 8, Brysen Weishaar – 4, Spencer Hubbard – 3, Avery Noll – 3, Joel Abel – 3, Jake Brickell – 2, Elijah Meyer – 3.

McLouth: Jeremy Carlton – 9, Josh Welsh  -- 6, Jack Arnett – 2, Jonah Willits – 2, Brody Troupe – 2.
