Six Area Teams in Week Four KVA Volleyball Rankings

Almost an entire month in the books for high school volleyball season and the action has proved to be quite competitive for area teams and the race for Leagues titles are heating up, on top of KSHSAA announcing the Sub-State assignments (click here).

The area teams in the rankings continue to be anchored by the Centralia Panthers who remain unbeaten on the season at 21-0 after wins against Wetmore and Onaga on Tuesday night. The Panthers remain ranked #1 in the State in Class 1A-Division I. Both Hanover and Immaculata also remain in the 1A-DI rankings this week again each remain steadfast in their rankings of #5 and #7, respectively. Hanover is 20-3 on the season after a 3-0 night on Tuesday with wins over Valley Heights, Axtell and Troy, while Immaculata sits at 16-6 on the season after a pair of wins over Pleasant Ridge and Maur Hill Tuesday night. 

The Axtell Eagles continue to be ranked #6 in Class 1A-Division II and carry a 14-8 record on the season after going just 1-2 on Tuesday night with a win over Troy, but losses to Valley Heights and Hanover. 

Class 2A has two area teams in the rankings this week as Jefferson County North remains in the rankings and moves up one spot to #3, while Valley Falls jumps into the rankings this week and Washington County falls out of the poll. JCN sits at 18-3 on the season after a 1-1 Tuesday night in which they lost to Valley Falls but beat Horton. While, Valley Falls is 16-6 on the year with a win over JCN and Horton on Tuesday night.
