MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - Kansas State coach Bill Snyder still believes that the Big 12 should ultimately expand to at least 12 teams, creating two divisions and a conference championship game.

Snyder said Tuesday that "there are a number of programs in our conference who have and would profit from that type of system," pointing out that teams with multiple losses would still have a chance to play for a championship.

The Big 12 played a title game every year form 1996-2010.

No. 7 Kansas State can wrap up the title and earn an automatic BCS bowl berth by beating No. 23 Texas on Saturday. But if TCU upsets No. 12 Oklahoma earlier in the day, the Wildcats' game becomes largely irrelevant, because they'd already be assured the title by kickoff.
