Trailing 26-22 at halftime, Horton used a 10-3 run to start the third quarter, with Gunnar Madere scoring eight points during the stretch, as the Chargers held on for the win.  Horton led 33-32 entering the final period and still had a one-point margin when Cole Bottom hit the only trey of the night for the Chargers to make it 40-36 with one minute remaining.

The Chargers made five of their last six free throws and finished 10-13 at the stripe to improve to 2-6 on the season.  Conner Dean had 11 points in his second game of the season while Bottom and Madere each chipped in 10.  Grayson Haag had 16 for the Dragons, who were just 6-13 at the line and managed only 10 points in the second half before falling to 2-6 on the season.
