Pleasant Ridge Competes at Tonganoxie Track Invite

Pleasant Ridge continued along in the track and field season stepping out of the Northeast Kansas area and traveling to Tonganoxie for competition on Tuesday. 

The Rams were led on the day by Emma Schwinn who swept the girls hurdles taking the 100 meter title with a time of 17.50 and winning the 300 meter crown behind a time of 52.04. While in the boys competition the top Pleasant Ridge performance came by Keaton Comer who won the high jump with a leap of 5'10, while also taking second in the 400 meter dash. 

Pleasant Ridge boys had eight more Top six finishes on the day including a second place finish for Glynn Smith in the triple jump, while Colton Comer earned the silver in the javelin. Smith added a sixth place finish in the 100 meter dash to his day, while Luke Oatney took third in the 800 meter run. Caullin Thompson placed fifth in the 300 meter hurdles and sixth in the 110 meter hurdles, while Kalen Davidson placed sixth in the triple jump and Devin Culbertson took fifth in the shot put. 

The lady Rams also had three other top six finishers as Layna Jackson placed fifth in the long jump, while Audry Barnes took sixth in the high jump and Holly Oatney placed sixth in both the javelin and discus.

Track season continues on Thursday, April 12th for Pleasant Ridge as they travel to Northern Heights for competition.
