Holton Captures Fourth Straight Big 7 League Wrestling Title

Big 7 League Wrestling – Results

Behind six first place finishes the Holton Wildcat wrestling team claimed their fourth consecutive Big 7 League Championship Friday at Royal Valley.

The Wildcats took the top spot with 193 total points, which was over 65 points more than second place Sabetha.

Holton received first place finishes by Jake Barnes at 106 pounds, Lucas Adcock at 113, Cayden Jackson at 120, Kolby Rousch at 132, Cael Jackson at 152 pounds and Konnor Tannahill at 182.

As to Sabetha the Bluejays had four guys take first place earning a second place finish as a team, with Elliott Strahm improving to a perfect 25-0 with the 285 pound title. Sabetha also had Cauy Rokey take first at 220 pounds, Walker Lowdermilk at 160 and Kaden Dillon at 126 pounds.

The Perry Lecompton Kaws finished third as a team with one first place finish and six second place finishes led by Thad Metcalf who took the top spot at 138 pounds.

Riverside had two guys earn first place finishes to lead the Cyclones to a fourth place finish as Luke Horn and Kaedin Juhl each won their respective weight classes at 145 and 192 pounds.

Royal Valley rounded out teams with first place finishers as Bryce Garrison took the 170 pounds title to lead the Panthers.

All teams now get set for regional tournament action which is scheduled to take place Friday and Saturday.
