Nemaha Central Cross Country Place 1st and 2nd at Centralia

The Nemaha Central Cross Country teams had another strong weekend as the boys placed first while the girls finished second at the Centralia Invitational on Saturday (10/1). 

The Thunder boys were led by John Langill who won the event by finishing over a minute and a half in front of second place. 

Lane Mosteller finished in fourth place, Bob Langill finished in sixth, and Collin Jost finished in 14th place. 

Other notables in the top 10 included Axtell's Grady Buessing finishing in second place. Jefferson County North placed two in the top five with Isaac Kane finishing third and Lucas Meredith finishing fifth. 

Wetmore's Kristopher Fulkerson finished seventh, Axtell's Gavin Shaughnessy finished eighth, Hudson Nemechek of Valley Heights finished ninth, and Keagan Baker of Jefferson County North finished 10th. 

The Thunder girls finished second place behind Wabaunsee. Wabaunsee posted the top two finishes. Maddy Mosteller of Nemaha Central finished in third place while Hailey Nordhus finished seventh. Kyndall Sextro posted a top 10 finish as she finished in 10th. 

Other notables in the top 10 included McKenzie Baker of Washington County finishing fourth, Claire Cole of Doniphan West in fifth, Meleah Talley of Centralia finished sixth, Claire Beikmann of Linn finished eighth, and Holland Shirley of Frankfort finished in ninth place.
