Cross Country Regional Assignments for Northeast Kansas Schools

Cross country regional locations have been selected for the 2022 season. In all classes except 1A, three teams qualify for the state meet per regional and the top ten runners have a possibility of being additional individual qualifiers. In 1A, four teams qualify per regional. Below are where our area teams are headed.

In 4A, Holton and Atchison will go to Baldwin High School and run at the Baldwin Golf Course. Eudora, Baldwin, Louisburg, Ottawa, Paola, Bishop Miege and Tonganoxie will be there as well. The girls will run at 10 a.m. and the boys will run at 10:45 a.m.

Riley County will host a hub of area teams at the 3A level. Maur Hill-Mount, ACCHS, Hiawatha, Royal Valley, Jefferson West, Perry Lecompton, Sabetha and Nemaha Central will all run in the regional. The girls will run at 11 a.m. and the boys will run at 11:40 a.m.

In 2A, Wabaunsee will host a regional with Valley Heights, Pleasant Ridge, Horton, Jackson Heights, McLouth, Oskaloosa, St. Mary’s, Valley Falls, Riverside and Jefferson County North. The girls will run at 10 a.m. and the boys will run at 10:40 a.m.

Lastly in 1A, Washington County will host 26 schools in their regional. These include Axtell, Centralia, Clifton-Clyde, Frankfort, Hanover, Doniphan West, Linn, Onaga, Blue Valley Randolph and Wetmore. The girls will run at 11 a.m. and the boys will run at 11:45 a.m.
